SCSC acquires Eddie Johnson

Johnson recently earned his 46th cap for the USA
CHICAGO - Second City Soccer Club is pleased to announce its first acquisition of the 2013 BSL season: Eddie Johnson. Johnson arrives at the club on the back of an impressive 2012 season in which he netted 17 goals. The tally was enough to warrant callups by Jurgen Klinsmann to the American national team.

"Eddie brings a tremendous amount of experience and skill to the team. We expect him to continue to thrive with Second City," remarked club ownership.

In exchange for Johnson, the Stars traded their second round pick of this year's draft to the Alamo City Battle in exchange. He will occupy the club's first Designated Player spot of 2013. Second City's second Designated Player spot remains available, though an announcement with regards to its status is expected soon.
